Danny Rocco’s writing has been developed and produced in New York, Los Angeles, Cape Cod, Colorado, Romania, at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, at the Irondale Theater Center and most recently at the Ace Hotel in DTLA and Judson Memorial Church.

Danny is a Yaddo resident artist, Edward F. Albee Fellow, and graduate of New York University’s Gallatin School and Columbia University’s School of the Arts with an MFA in playwriting.

He was the playwright in residence at the Atlantic Acting School from 2014 to 2020, developing new work annually for production at the Linda Gross Theater (and on Zoom).

He is the Artistic Director of
Brontosaurus Haircut Productions and creator of the Script Writing Score. His play What the Sparrow Said is now a short film, directed by Tim Guinee, executive produced by Anson Mount (@SparrowTheMovie).
